About Fred Berthelot
Designed by an Architect
I design every performance the way I designed buildings: around the people who will experience it. I think about how your guests arrive, when attention rises and falls, how different groups interact and where the experience belongs in your agenda.

Common Questions
Corporate Entertainment FAQ
Is it appropriate for a professional audience?
Yes. Mentalism engages analytical, professional audiences without feeling childish or gimmicky. Participation is voluntary, nobody is embarrassed, and nothing personal or sensitive is ever revealed.
What's the difference between a mentalist and a corporate magician?
A magician performs illusions with objects. A mentalist works with thoughts, choices and the people themselves, so the experience feels conversational, intelligent and centered on your team.
Will anyone be put on the spot?
Only people who want to be. I read the audience as I go, and the colleagues who join me on stage are volunteers who end up as the heroes of the show.
Where does it fit in our agenda?
Strolling works during arrivals, receptions and networking breaks. The show works best after the main course, before remarks or awards, or as a high-energy close to a conference day.
How long does the entertainment run?
Strolling runs up to 90 minutes. The show runs 45 to 60 minutes, and a feature moment 15 to 20 minutes.
What do you need from our venue or AV team?
Strolling needs no stage, no sound and no setup. For the show, I'll send a short tech rider and coordinate with your venue and AV team ahead of time.
Can you customize it for our company?
Yes. A short questionnaire helps me understand your company, culture, milestones and goals, and those details shape the experience, including a finale designed to recognize your team or occasion.
Our team is mostly remote. Will this help people connect?
That's one of the best uses for it. Shared amazement gives colleagues who rarely see each other something to talk about, and it gives new hires, leadership and established teams an easy reason to interact.
Can you work with our procurement process?
Yes. I provide a W-9 and a Certificate of Insurance, sign your vendor agreement, and invoice against your purchase order.
Is your fee all-inclusive?
Yes, for events in the New York and New Jersey area, with no hidden costs. For events that require travel, flights and hotel are quoted up front. After a short call, I'll send a clear recommendation and quote you can share with your team.
How far ahead should we book?
As soon as you have a date. Fall and December are the busiest months for company events and holiday parties.
Do you travel?
Yes. I'm based in Denville, NJ, 45 minutes from Manhattan, and I perform for companies throughout New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and nationwide. I'm a native French speaker and can also perform in French.
