Architect
Mind Reader
Fred Berthelot is a mind-reading architect.
After earning his Master's of Architecture Summa Cum Laude from the Savannah College of Art & Design, Fred practiced architecture in NYC at Robert Stern Architects, a high-end firm that catered to Fortune 500 companies, universities, celebrities and even a U.S. President.
He designed campuses, business schools, law schools, medical centers, dorms and research facilities for universities like UGA, Penn State, UPenn, Drake, Marist, Villanova, Ohio State, and Acadia, as well as business districts such as the Philadelphia Navy Yard, corporate headquarters such as Glaxo Smith Kline, and office buildings and skyscrapers such as the iconic "Carpe Diem" tower outside Paris in his native France.
Today, Fred no longer draws buildings - he draws thoughts from people's minds. As a mentalist, he reads audiences like a blueprint, and designs experiences that connect individuals and build lasting memories. Major companies like Johnson & Johnson, Unilever, and Publicis Groupe rely on his award-winning, customized, engaging and interactive performances to elevate events, celebrate teams and reinforce brand messaging.
Event planners rave about his professionalism and architectural precision, as well as his ability to relate with the crowd while over-delivering impactful entertainment. His 25+ years experience in the corporate world of architecture, coordinating complex projects and budgets with clients, engineers, consultants and contractors, as well as his life-long passion for magic, mentalism and performing, gives Fred a unique perspective on corporate entertainment.
Fred's mind-blowing teamwork finale won First Place as “Best Mentalist” at the 2023 Mindvention mind-reading awards, judged by Las Vegas mentalist Banachek, world-renown mentalist Keith Barry, and corporate mentalist extraordinaire Richard Osterlind. Fred is also featured on NJ-Party.com as “New Jersey’s Best Magician and Mentalist.”
He also teaches interactive memory workshops, helping students unlock the amazing hidden potential of their untapped mind power. As a supporter of public education, Fred also offers his programs to schools and libraries
Fred is an avid fan of Sting’s music, a self-professed geek, and lives with his wife, two daughters and one doghter in Denville, NJ.
